What is Open Streets?

Open Streets temporarily closes roads to cars and opens them to people. For Saturday, June 20th, three miles of streets across Maywood, Bell, Cudahy, and Bell Gardens become a free, car-free space to walk, bike, skate, dance, and connect with your neighbors.

A connected stretch of streets through Bell, Maywood, Bell Gardens, and Cudahy — closed to vehicles, opened to people. Walk, bike, scoot, skate, or stroll. Una ruta conectada cerrada a los autos y abierta a la comunidad.

Five hubs, one Southeast Connection.

Each hub brings its own city activation — live music, FIFA watch parties, a variety of food, kids' activities, local vendors, and more. Go to our local hub or visit them all! Maywood Block Party Hub

Kick off near Slauson & Atlantic with live entertainment, community resource tables, and the start of the Maywood 5K route.

Bell Hub

Anchored at Atlantic & Gage, Bell's hub features a FIFA watch party, live performances, family activities, and a lineup of local food and shopping vendors.

LA River Hub

Where the route meets the LA River Bike Path — connecting the Maywood and Bell hubs to Bell Gardens and Cudahy. Expect food, music, and nonprofit partners in the heart of the route.

Puente Fest Hub

On the bridge over the LA River, Puente Fest brings food, culture, and community spirit to the streets of Cudahy.

Progress Point Hub

The Bell Gardens hub "Progress Point" will consist of special performances, music, kids' activities, food trucks, and other fun experiences!

FAQs

Is the event free? · ¿Es gratis?

Yes — completely free and open to everyone. No registration required to attend. Sí, totalmente gratis y abierto a todos.

Where should I park? · ¿Dónde puedo estacionar?

We strongly encourage walking, biking, or taking Metro. If you need to drive, look for designated parking areas near each hub — these will be announced closer to the event. Recomendamos caminar, andar en bici o usar el Metro.

Can I bring my dog? · ¿Puedo traer a mi perro?

Leashed, friendly dogs are welcome on the route. Please bring water and pick up after them. Mascotas con correa son bienvenidas.

Designated car crossing points stay open for emergency vehicles throughout the event. Look for hub volunteers in marked shirts for any assistance. Los cruces para emergencias estarán abiertos durante todo el evento.
